Samantha’s journey from part-time swim instructor to Director is inspiring. She began teaching while pursuing her Geography and Environmental Science degree at California State University, Long Beach. What started as a college job quickly turned into a passion. “It’s an honor to work for a small, woman-owned business that serves my local community by teaching children vital, life-saving skills,” Samantha shares.
A Strong Connection with USSSA
Deep Blue Swim School has been proudly making waves as a member of the United States Swim School Association (USSSA) since 2011. Samantha credits the association for offering unparalleled guidance in business management and water safety instruction, especially for young students.
“Our USSSA membership allows us to bring water safety education to families earlier in their children’s lives,” Samantha explains. “It helps us build trust with families, stay committed to excellence, and ensure we’re always providing the safest and most effective lessons.”

Deep Blue Swim School’s mission comes to life through its success stories. One winter, a family experienced a heart-stopping moment when their 3.5-year-old daughter fell into their ice-cold pool.
